What Most Of Us Forget About Love

Women are not like men. Many men forget that, when they enter into a romantic relationship. Women look at things differently and their choices are different. Men miss small patterns of behavior many times that can make them a big success with women. In this section, we talk about what men need to know about relationship with women to succeed and what are the common pitfalls that have to be avoided to get the woman of your dreams.

Relationships are complex things, but following these basics will help you make your relationships healthy and strong.

When in doubt, listen first and check to see if you have understood the other person by asking them questions. Often relationships go awry when people feel they aren’t being heard or understood and sometimes it’s important just to listen. You have to know what they want, not what you think is good for them. Listening is what helps us to find connection with each other. This also means you need to tell others what you really feel, think, and want. You can’t feel connected if you don’t voice these things.

Communicate simply when it is most critical that they hear you. Get clear in your own mind what kind of outcome you would like and try to state it in the most simple and specific terms. You will more likely be understood the more clear you can be, and often that means fewer words, not more. Sometimes repetition is necessary in getting through to someone what is really important to you.

Always show respect. Respect means listening, accepting a no when you are given one, not taking them for granted, being honest in your dealings with them, and not criticizing often or discouraging them. It is also important that you do not try to control others, and just as important that you show respect to yourself and ask that they treat you the same or be willing to walk away.

Know when it isn’t a healthy relationship. Just because you care about someone doesn’t mean you should be in a relationship with them at this time. They should be good for you, not addicted to anything, not controlling or abusive in any way, and make you feel secure and happy. It is not possible to make a relationship work with someone who doesn’t care about you, or who abuses a substance or you, so don’t try.

Seek to be good for others and don’t tear them down. People like to be with those who make them feel good and who are good for them. Lighten up and have fun together and your relationship will grow.

How to Reduce Gas Prices And Beat The Oil Companies

As most Americans know, May 15th was this year’s gas-buying-boycott day. As widespread as that word reached (virtually nationwide, and I believe a fair number of people throughout the country participated), it had little or no impact on the prices at the pump. I think it is clear to most people that a buying boycott fails at the outset, unless overall USAGE is reduced by it. Just NOT BUYING for one day does not equate to NOT USING as much overall. It is the usage that needs to change if we are looking to impact prices in any way. Even that would take significant participation and would need to be repeated at frequent enough intervals to keep the pressure on the suppliers.

Step 1.

Recognizing what it means:Are we willing for such a sacrifice? Or, are we more likely to “suck it up”?It’s really up to us, as individuals, though I’m not sure how many of us are really up for it. I happen to be recently a fulltime mother of two and a stay at home mother, so it might be a bit easier for me to stay home now and then, thereby reducing my gas consumption (usage). But not everyone can do the same thing.I DO believe that most people could choose one day a month to set aside for a DRIVING BOYCOTT that I am promoting. And, please note that this boycott concept is not only about trying to reduce prices for gas and oil, but such a boycott would also go a long way toward reducing the current GLOBAL WARMING dangers. We are being told by the experts that we need to reduce the burning of fossil-fuels (among other things) in order to make any progress with reducing global warming.

Step 2.

Can it be done?My boycott goes like this, and I call it “P.R.A.B.O.” (Peoples’ Revolt Against Big Oil):In the spirit of the boycott for BUYING gas, I propose that we spread the word that we are committing to and participating in a “Nationwide Driving Boycott” for at least ONE DAY EACH MONTH.It does not need to be a nationally advertised specific date; instead, each driver can select their own one-day-per-month that fits their lifestyle best. It might even be a different day each month, as long as we all commit to doing something, and keep to that commitment for as long as it takes.

Step 3.

The need for commitment:The key is to really commit to really doing it. If enough of us CAN do it, and can stick with it, we can take back the power from Big Oil, and we can make a significant contribution in the global warming issue as well.In order to really get the power back, all who can participate must participate; else the effort will fail.I encourage all who read this to spread the concept to their friends and family; and encourage them to spread it, too.

Step 4.

The PRABO Mission Statement:While I know there is no real need for it, I came up with this “Mission Statement” (don’t we all need more of those?).”We the People of Planet Earth, in order to form a more perfect World, establish Justice and Equity, ensure a safe and healthy planet, provide for the Common Good, promote the General Welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty, Freedom, Safety, Health and Survival to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Monthly Driving Boycott commitment for the Peoples’ Revolt Against Big Oil (P.R.A.B.O.).”

Step 5.

Does this sound familiar? Hmmmmmmm…
PRABO emblem-for printing and passing on to others. The World thanks you! Pass it on to others:Are we really tired enough yet?Have we reached our “point of intolerance” yet?Are we really in this together?Let’s NOT roll, for at least ONE DAY EACH MONTH!PASS IT ON!Join the “People’s Revolt Against Big Oil”. Pick a day a month for yourself!Join by entering your comments and commitment here. The World thanks you for your support!
